DOLCE & GABBANA | Alta Moda, Alta Sartoria e Alta Gioielleria – Puglia
Produced by Balich Wonder Studio
From Borgo Egnazia and Alberobello, to Ostuni and Pettolecchia La Fortezza.
To welcome the worldwide Guests and begin the celebrations, an exclusive Gala Dinner was presented at Borgo Egnazia.
Alta Gioielleria, took place the following evening at Pettolecchia la Fortezza. A unique location, rich in charm and history that majestically overlooks the expanse of olive trees up to the coast of Savelletri. Inside the abundant harvest, we designed a dedicated area to present the collection and host an unforgettable Gala Dinner in the Fortress.
Alta Moda was set in Alberobello, a Unesco World Heritage Site, known for its Trulli. The town served as a perfect background, during sunset, to present the collection.
The experience began at the entrance to the town’s winding streets. Guests in attendance walked through Alberobello, meeting townspeople and craftsmen and women. You could stop and snack on freshly baked crunchy taralli bread, talk to women making beaded jewellery and visit small shops selling naturally dyed lace fabric.
After meandering through the town in their Dolce & Gabbana finest, guests made their way down to the piazza at the town’s heart. At sunset, models began the fashion show by walking between the streets of Alberobello.
The entire city was involved in the fashion show, a unique and authentic experience where Guests were fascinated by the wonders.
In Puglia’s ‘White City’, named after the historic Apulian houses that paint an endlessly postcard-ready scene, Dolce & Gabbana took over Piazza Sant’Oronzo and its surrounding winding streets to celebrate and present Alta Sartoria. As an entrée to the night’s festivities of high fashion, a recreation of Ostuni’s famed Calvacata di Sant’Oronzo – an ancient horse parade dating back to 1657, when villagers honoured the bishop who saved the town from the plague – was a delightful opening act. Tall steeds bedecked in arabesque crystals upon vivid red saddle cloths lined up by the white stone runway, with riders in matching regalia sat proudly atop; followed by the presentation of the collection.
The night continued then at Cala Maka for Dinner and After Party.
The five-day event terminated with a memorable party in Masseria San Domenico where an international DJ partied with all Guests until late at night.
