Piazza Duomo and the Baroque, Caravaggio, Santa Lucia, the island of Ortigia and its treasures, the Grotta dei Cordari, the Greek Theatre and the ancient tragedy, the art of pastry, Marzamemi and the legend of Calafarina were the incredible locations which hosted the events.
To welcome the worldwide Clients Dolce & Gabbana opened the events with an elegant and sophisticated Gala Dinner at Minareto Resort.
Alta Gioielleria took place the following evening at Grotta dei Cordari – an archaeological site, a magnificent monument carved entirely into the rock that surprises with an infinite array of colours and tones. Inside the rocks, a dedicated area was to present the splendid creations meticulously handcrafted by artisans; followed by an informal but typical Sicilian dinner and finish the welcome party at the Greek amphitheatre.
The square of Ortigia was the breathtaking and perfect setting for the exquisite art and performance of Alta Moda. The outstanding catwalk and connecting bridge were entirely built-in harmony and respecting the surrounding buildings. The evening continued with a Gala Dinner at Kukua Beach where Guests were entertained with live music, a live performance by Giuliano Peparino and wonderful fireworks.
Alta Sartoria took place in Marzamemi, a small fishing village, a place where time stands still. The collection was presented at the pier while the following dinner in the famous square. The area was entirely set up in a Dolce & Gabbana Style. Here Guests were welcomed by a horse and music parade, a very typical and traditional Sicilian feast.
The five-day Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda extravaganza in Sicily finishes with the final party held in the 13th century Castello Maniace. The Castle was entirely set up with the home collection of Dolce & Gabbana and was the perfect ending to an extraordinary week of events.
